I have had a passion for working with individuals with disabilities since high school, which is where I was introduced to occupational therapy. From my initial introduction, I saw all the benefits occupational therapy can provide to all ages and populations and immediately fell in love. During my last clinical rotation, I was placed at Can Do Kids unexpectedly and it was the best experience I could have asked for. From there, I also completed my Doctoral Capstone at Can Do Kids, which focused on creating community programs for children with disabilities, including a Life Skills program for adolescents and a Storytime Yoga program for all ages and abilities. I love occupational therapy because it is such an expansive field with endless possibilities. I enjoy helping children learn and grow through play and creativity, which is why OT is perfect for me!
